12x12x12 in Chair
This prompt was to create a chair strong enough to hold a persons weight, while also fitting the 12x12x12 inch size guide. Using purple foam, apoxie clay, a wood dowel and paint, I constructed a colorful abstract chair.
Place of use
I envisioned this piece to be seen within a children’s art studio. The height is perfect to reach a small easel and it is colorful and fun enough to fit the environment. The shape of the layers is also reminiscent of paint splatters, further matching the aesthetic.
